RV Rentals In Grande Prairie

RV Rentals In Grande Prairie - All recreational vehicles could be divided into several categories depending on the size of recreational vehicle and usage. The range of recreational vehicles will on average be 10 feet long to as long as 30 feet. Passenger cars and trucks could move most RV trailers by utilizing frame hitches or bumpers. The lightest type of trailer is a folding or tent camper. They are normally much cheaper compared to other larger trailers and are considered to be on the lower end of the scale. Some RV's, like fifth wheel trailers, are too long that they require a specialized hitch to be installed in the bed of the truck. Park models are among the biggest recreational vehicle trailers and occasionally need a special permit to move.

The smallest kinds of RV trailers on the market are tent units or folding units. These units would normally be able to collapse to about half their height. This enables the driver to have better visibility along with better aerodynamics while towing the RV. Canvas is generally the material of choice due to its light weight and high flexibility. Some of the larger types have similar fold out bunks. Full length pop up trailers are also available, although their sides are normally rigid.

Rigid sided, full sized recreational vehicles are normally known as travel trailers. Their size ranges from ultralight, small units to huge, 30 foot trailers with slide-outs. A toy hauler is considered a type of travel trailer and is utilized to transport motorcycles, all terrain vehicles, and other machines. The back wall folds down into a ramp so that these "toys" could be easily loaded into the trailer.

Fifth wheel trailers are quite similar to regular travel trailers, with the exception being that they need a fifth wheel hitch and could not be hooked up to a regular bumper or frame mounted hitch. These special receivers are easily installed into the bed of a pickup truck. Usually these trailers have two levels, with stairs leading up to where it sits over the truck bed.

The largest model of RV trailer is the park models, which are often just utilized RV parks building sites, or other locations where the needed utilities are readily accessible. Normally, park models are too wide to be moved on most streets and require special permits and signs to move. They are not designed to be moved frequently and do not often have self contained plumbing or 12 volt electrical systems.
